Historic motor racing is one of the fastest growing sectors of Australian motorsport.
There are many historic themed racing events that take place across the country that showcase a diverse range of significant and famous race cars. While the majority of these cars are derived from Australian motorsport history, there is an ever increasing number of cars being sourced from overseas that have racing credentials.
Queensland is seeing this same growth in historic motorsport interest. Many car owners tell the story of attending car race meetings in their youth and being taken in by the excitement of seeing cars driven to their limits, however at that stage in their life they were not able to take up racing themselves. The enthusiasm remained though, so later when circumstances change they may be in a position to acquire a car from the era that they admired so greatly.
