Queensland Coal Mining Board of Inquiry

The Board was established by the Minister for Natural, Resources, Mines and Energy, the Honourable Dr Anthony Lynham MP on 22 May 2020 to investigate the serious accident that occurred at Grosvenor mine on 6 May 2020, and various high potential incidents involving longwall-related exceedances of methane that occurred in the Queensland coal mining industry between 1 July 2019 and 5 May 2020.
